Communicating with Staff

The interactive staff call system allows you to contact nursing staff 24 hours a day. There are two call points in your room: one is located beside patient's bed; the other on the bathroom wall. Should you require any form of assistance from ward staff, please do not hesitate to make use of the staff call system.

Patient Admission – When You Arrive

Upon your arrival, please register at the Information and Registration desks for inpatients, which is located on the 1st floor of the hospital. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Siloam Hospitals Kebon Jeruk  offers a high standard of accommodation with the majority of the patient rooms being private

Checking In:

• Patient should go directly to the inpatient information and registration desk and present letters of referrals from their referring doctor
• Patient will have the options to choose which type of room they want an they will need to fill in registration forms
• Once patients have completed the registration process, our friendly front officers will pusher them to their designated rooms

In order to protect the electricity supply to all areas of the hospital, our Bio-Medical Engineer must check all electrical equipment before it is used. This includes laptop computers, electric shavers, hair dryers, radios and clocks. We ask that you consult with ward staff prior to using them within the hospital complex.

Medication
Please bring all current medications with you. These will be locked in your bedside cabinet during your stay for your personal use.

Maternity

1. Guides for pregnant women
SHKJ provides an important pregnancy exercise service for expectant mothers to prepare their physical condition for delivery and beyond.

The exercises are guided by our trained instructors. By performing proper and accurate movements, mothers-to-be can boost their energy, feel healthier and be prepared during and after their delivery.

In addition to physical exercise, we also hold antenatal classes that provide you with information on pregnancy, health and nutrition. The presentation is given by Obstetric and Gynecology Specialists, Pediatric Specialists, nutritionists, and experienced midwives from Siloam Hospitals West Jakarta.
The combination of physical exercise and knowledge is helps mothers-to-be in gaining a greater understanding about their delivery and they can discuss their expectations. . Attendees feel they are more prepared and calm when the time comes for their delivery.
We also have a "Hospital Tour" program designed for pregnancy exercise participants that familiarizes expectant mothers with the maternity areas.

2. Delivery Room
Our delivery rooms are 1 room for 1 patient. According to your wishes your spouse could also watch the process of delivery of your new baby and for one day care.

3. Rooming-In Facility
Togetherness between you and your baby is the most important part of building a close relationship with your baby. We provide rooming-in facility, where mother and her new-born are placed in the same room, in order to establish physical, spiritual and emotional connections between mom and baby.

4. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
This hospital is equipped with a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which is designed to provide special care for premature babies, under-weight or unhealthy babies, and is supported by highly trained staff and modern equipment.

5. Post Delivery
During your stay in our maternity ward, our nurse and midwife will demonstrate to you how to bathe and care your baby, breast and breastfeeding techniques. And as a token of gratitude, we will give you a special package for your new born baby.

6. Baby Photo and Birth Certificate
To capture the moment, you may wish to use the Baby Photo service to record a memorable picture of your little one. And for your convenience, we provide assistance with Birth Certificate registration for your beloved baby for reasonable price.
